Any self-respecting Maltese knows these by heart, whereas everybody else will find our humble attempt at phonetic descriptions quite helpful. Slip some of these into your active vocabulary and note the difference: like a gear that's been shifted, or a veil that's been lifted, an expertly placed “u ejja!“ will go a long way.
